Street Giant x Upper Playground tee

After Congressman Edward Markey made a presentation to the House of Representatives demanding a public apology from BP, in this presentation he pointed out from BP’s statements said walruses were one of the species of animals whose habitats are being destroyed by the oil spill in the gulf, We here at Street Giant decided to make a t-shirt with the logo of our friends over at Upper Playground.  AS THERE ARE NO WALRUSES IN THE GULF OF MEXICO.

Limited to only 300 pieces, this “Zero Walrus Casualties” shirt  is printed on high quality ringspun cotton tees.  Proceeds of this shirt go to healthygulf.org to help the clean up effort in the gulf.  Get your “Zero Walrus Casualties” shirt at our online streetshop.

And don’t forget to follow @bpglobalpr on twitter for some entertainment on this horrible situation that is still going on.

Would like to see this T with the caption on the front as long hair will spoil the punchline.

Whoa. Just going from memory, here, Markey pointed out that the oil companies’ disaster contingency plans mentioned walruses — which are not native to the Gulf of Mexico — to illustrate how ridiculously unprepared and unconcerned the industry actually is.

IMO, you need to make this abundantly clear in the product description, because as currently posted it implies that Markey made an absurd statement when in fact he was pointing it out.

  3. Amber WB says:

Um, it was BP’s and other oil companies’ disaster plans that included walruses, not Markey (except insofar as he was criticizing the disaster plans for including a species that does not even exist in that area).
