Vans Custom Culture Winner

A follow up to the post of the Vans Custom Culture Contest we did, at the grand finale event last Thursday, Vans announced the winner of a $50,000 grant for the schools art department. The event was packed and the 5 finalist were on hand showcasing their masterpieces while celebrity judges, Hayden Panettiere, Tony Alva, Jordan Buckley, Mister Cartoon and Nicole Young critiqued every stroke. The winning school was Ward Melville High School from Long Island, NY and in addition to the $50,000 grant, their shoe designs will be available at retailers in 2012. Congrats to the winners as they all were great pieces of art.
